I assume Mike's is an enlargement of Mark Frankel's planset available free online. It is always simpler to build something which has a readily available resource for a canopy, cowl, and in this case, Styrene corrugation.

Simply download the .pdf files, decide on the size you want and send them to be laser cut...

Different levels? Every plan sheet image has to be "scaled" to an identical level/size.

No, No mystery at all.
The airplane center line is level and the plane sits at a positive angle on the ground so the odd look.
Likely drawn with the struts fully extended as well not with the struts under load.
Look at pictures to get the right fuselage attitude.

BTW the 98" span T-34 would be underpowered with a MOKI 1.8. Even a 2.10 would be hard pressed to make enough power to fly this plane around.
Fitting a powerplant in the airplane without parts exposed would be a challenge. My buddy is wrestling with a Hosteteler Bonanza which is essentially the same airframe and also the Nose gear so far forward complicates things, even with a twin gasser.
