There are two components to the canopy...1. clear and 2. the opaque fiberglass frame.

Bob, looks like I was caught in a scam on RCGroups. The guy saw my "wanted to buy" ad, and responded ASAP and sent me photos I found out of an old kit that was up for sale on RC Universe. Hilarious story, but the guy wanted me to pay to both his son's and his wife's account, but his PayPal was hacked; then asked me to send him money using Crypto currency, meanwhile telling me he needs his sons help for technical questions lol wow! People never cease to amaze me. I guess I was a little too 'excited' to "find a kit" and the dude jumped on the chance to scam some money. That'll teach me and remind me why I never buy off public forums haha anyhow

I'll contact Kerry about the kit to see how far along it's been completed. Really I've been on a mad-hunt to find one of the kits laying around in the box, waiting to be built! If anyone picks up these molds or produces this, I'll be first in line to purchase it :) For now, I'll contact Kerry (thank you Bob!) and have a chat.

Reuben,

Ziroli has the plug to pull the clear canopy. Mark's son has the canopy frame and "possibly" another plug for the PETG. If this is pulled in normal fashion (one piece) you could buy two of the clear PETG and use one as the base for the frame. This works "if" the clear canopy is a shoe fit to another.


Bob should be able to answer that. Most pic of the model have shown an articulated sliding canopy. Obviously the best answer is the clear canopy does not have a defined frame line so "stacking" would more easily be achieved.


If the fiberglass canopy frame does not come pre-cut...this is the best of all worlds as it can be converted to a vacuum form plug for both the frame and the PETG.

Ed, you are correct, the "glass" canopy frame does not come with the window openings pre-cut.

It is glued over the clear canopy after the 'windows" are cut from the frame. The Glass frame has distinct

panels with a change in height where the movable frame slides over the adjacent panel.  Unfortunately the steps are not visible in the above photo.

The clear canopy has smoother transitions between panels. 


Just got off the phone with Mark's son, he is receptive to your interest, he indicated he needs a little time to work thru  some issues with the estate.
