Hi All.  Just wanted to quickly introduce myself.  I'm Candice.  I'm a World War One aviation enthusiast since childhood.  Learned to fly both single engine and glider.  Built a bunch of 1/48 World War One models but the last ten years I've let that slide.  I just recently bought my first ARF motor glider to serve as my initial technology platform for FPV.  Ultimate is to FPV a giant scale WW1 fighter.  Besides it is kind of a natural hobby for me since I did avionics/aerospace electrical engineering for 30 years it seems a good fit.  Looking forward to learning from everybody.

Hi Candice, welcome to RCSB!

What part of CA are you in, North or South?  Some good WWI fly-ins in both parts (he says modestly, pointing to the flyer for his own fly-in).

When you are ready to start a build I suggest you check out the site supporter program (LINK) - not only does that give you unlimited posting and the ability to upload pics, but there are a lot of other benefits as well.

Awesome Pamela, do you start a build report of this one

I bought some time ago the drawings of a 1/3rd Gnome with the intention to make one when I have enough skills....... Still learning.

Depending on which side of the park it is only a couple of hours to the Bay Area.
SCCMAS Tomcats are having a WWI Fly-in next weekend.  Mine in August is about 45 minutes further North.  If you are a traveler I highly recommend the Ukiah Dawn Patrol in October.  I know there is a good WWI fly-in down your way but I forget the date and location.
