Hello everyone.
I have been looking around for a while now and am more than impressed with the detail that goes into these builds I have built a few planes but not to the detail you guys go to I enjoy building and feel its time to finish my models a little bit better I built a Ziroli Turbinator a couple of years ago for my brother who has got me back in the RC world after a long time out That Turby has since died and seeing that I had cut a second one at the time I am almost finished the painting . I am also in the process of a Ziroli 77' stearman also for my brother He finances and I build Through this site and build threads and a few qestions asked I am learning lots of tricks and valuable ideas and ways to tackle different aspects of modelling I did my first go at fiberglassing on Turby 2 and have built a fiberglass cowl for a 96" hannibal that I built from a dxf file I found on the internet
Thankyou to this site and its contributors
Anyway enough waffle I intend to learn at 64 I have a lot to fit in
Thanks and Cheers

Welcome to RCSB. As you have see already this is one of the, if not the best places for sharing and learning about scale modeling. May I suggest starting a thread for the stearman you are building. It's a great way to get input from others and who knows, we may learn a tip or two from you also. Also for a great tutorial on making fiberglass parts, do a search for user name SEVARG. You will find Merlyn has this process figured out pretty well and has created many you tube videos to help with the process also. Pay particular attention to the starship 2000 build.

Thanks Mark
Rob from Adelaide suggested to run a build thread on the stearman I have read your log on the DC3 and it is amazing I love the old bird to bits and have considered doing it In fact my little brother bought a set of plans for a 6 footer that I have built Electric It has had a part flight but a heavy panic bent the landing gear I have redesigned the origional plan I had for a 12 foot version in cad but still need a little bit of work
Anyway thanks for the welcome I'll work out where to start and and have a go at post a thread
I must admit with these computors the world of aeromodlling is really very, very small and the old fashioned idea of sharing is still alive and kicking (so to say).
All the best

Hey Darryl, glad you found us and joined up.  If you are doing the ziroli stearman, put your build thread in the ziroli forum.

Welcome aboard!
