Compound curves of the wingtop air conditioning unit of the Northrop-Grumman E2-C-D Advanced Hawkeye (AHE)

At this point, 24 hours in.., we have twenty two glass and vacuum formed super scale components for the E2-C & D.

Yes, we already have most of the more difficult complex compound curve components. We need validation resources to get us further down the road to releasing the E2's.

Then the top...

Thanks in advance for your hands-on, experienced validation...

Before chopping into individual parts, at a minimum the E2-C center cradle with stab overlap is fiberglass to assure proper dihedral with a ply spar. Look for additional glass components this week. The point is to create glass or vacuum formed components to assure scale shape and proper proportion...leading edge of all four vertical fins and horiz stabs is a perfect example.

Glass or vacuum form scale stab and verical fin leading edges to provide accurate thickness and smoothness. The intent is to permit an accurate shape regardless of builder experience working with complex shapes. E2's have considerable complex proportions.

Zip,

I should have the original Jack Lynn Bale plans available on the MAC website within the next 10 days. We do not expect someone to buy a pig in a pok' so we are
creating pre-view images of each plan offered for sale. There is a lot more than the JLB plan portion of the MAC website being created.

...............Here's an early 2024 MAC sneak peak...

You may not recognize the name George Maiorana. George is the undisputed all time Designer Scale, 515 / R/C Team Scale designer champion. Over a 23 year career George competed in and won each and every scale contest he and Dave Pinegar (his team scale pilot) entered. I need to repeat that...George's designs won every contest they were entered in for 23 years.

After George's retirement he offered me an opportunity to sell his winning designs. Five years ago Sam and I made the trek to Detroit to bring this teasure trove home. Each of George's award winning designs were covered/finished out in "The Look Of The Real Thing".... George had been a walking talking advertisement for 23 years. MAC-Models now brings you an opportunity to build and fly these museum scale treasures.

Sam will be picking up the Tu-95 "Bear" molds and fixtures in Detroit at the end of September. In 2024 MAC will offer the complete George Maiorana suite of Top Gun, Scale Masters, AMA NATs, & Toledo Best In Show 1st place award winning designs. The Tupolev Tu-95 "Bear", Tupolev Tu-4, Boeing B-29 "Superfortress", Chinese KJ-1 "AEW", Douglas C-133 "Cargomaster" (ICBM Hauler) and George's last designs...the Ki-C2 and Ki-RC2 "Elint" AEW.

All will be available in a George Maiorana Designs portion of the MAC-Models website. In the near future I will create a poll to determine the roll out sequence of George's designs similar to the Jack Lynn Bale Designs poll.
