Photos courtesy of Carl Becker.  Plane weights 38 pounds, covered in solaretex with latex house paint sprayed on.  32x18 prop at 2400 rpm.  Flight video here:

Has some trouble with the rudder gyro but a great flier and good kit.  I added some additional scale details and changed the flying wires, etc.

John,
I know this is the fullfilment of a life long dream. The powering of a WWI plane with a genuine Rotary engine.
Congratsulations to you for sticking to your dream and seeing it through.

Congratulations John, your Triplane is awesome. Power seems adequate but balance needs some fine tuning I think. Glad everything is fine and now time to enjoy.

Beautiful triplane!  That engine is supremo.  Seemed to struggle a little getting airborne.
Would not think it would be underpowered?
Awesome plane..

Thanks!  We were running at about 2,300 rpm for the first flight.  We will lean it out for 2,500-2600 next but it does climb out at 2,300 though ok.  I have since dialed down the rudder gyro which was over sensitive and causing some skidding around.
