Mike.
Yes it does, but it has a high wing.

Built in the 1930’s  Not for the Military, But seconded into a European air force
A high-wing monoplane. with a radial engine
It was a four-seater- 2 Crew, 2 Passengers

The wings were folded rearwards, and were equipped with automatic slats, flaps, and interceptors.
Had STOL capabilities.

Abu says he knows what it is, so we shall see.

I don't know about that just post your answer. There is no penalty for getting it wrong.
I  was designed and built in Eastern Europe.

Yes, indeed, well done.

It looks like the type of aircraft that would be of interest for me, I have a set of plans, but when I looked at some of the drawings of the wing configuration-
This is a screen shot from the plans.

There are bits going backwards and forwards, bits going up and down, bits only going down, and other bits only going up!

Definitely not on my wish list!

I had to do some digging to find that one, Alan.  The Eastern Europe clue helped.
Now I guess it's back to me for clues to the next aircraft:

It was usually configured as a two-seater.
Among it's various roles, one role had it being launched from naval vessels and hoisted back aboard after its flight.
It was quite advanced, and had a few "firsts".  (they'll be the next clues if needed.)

  • It was quite advanced, and had a few "firsts". (they'll be the next clues if needed.)
  • It is one of the first aircraft to incorporate air/dive brakes.
  • The incidence of the horizontal stab' could be adjusted.
