Quote: PeterOZ Just a thought, choke servo very close proximity to hot engine. Servos do not like heat and the risk here is that it may start to hunt back and forth, I had a model do just that with a little hitec 422 servo.
cheers Peter
back to lurking and being confined to home with nothing but netflix
Thanks for the heads up, Peter. I better had run the engine cowl off to start with so as i can see directly what is going on. It is a new servo, a Hitec 645 MG.

Quote: martin5465 Peter, After 12 years it probably is safe where it is. As a precaution though, Ken may want to put in a fresh servo.
Martin, where have you been?
The Lysander had a manual choke and I have , for the first time installed a new system with a Hitec 645 MG operating the choke. Remember?

Quote: Cobra1gwt Ken, Mr. Slayer, could you post a pic with something to show scale of the engine? Most of us would be impressed, for sure.
Gerald
Gerald, here are two shots of the Moki 215 in situ. One is wearing a pair of normal sized specs and the other is with a hand in the picture. Does that suffice?
Cheers
Ken

Hey Peter,
I have made an aluminium heat shield for the Hitec 645 MG choke servo.
You think that this move will help? The proof of the pudding is in the eating, as they say. We shall see.
Thanks for your input.
I was finally getting around to finishing off the refurbs to the fuse and starting to paint. But it is cold and now pouring rain. This is said to be set in for the next day or two.
Cheers
Ken
