Wow! Already September... Where has this year gone?
This month I wanted to take a few minutes and remind everyone why RCSB is here. The purpose of this site and our community is to promote the building and flying of R/C Scale Aircraft (in any size), and to help everyone enjoy this hobby. This is the "spirit" of what RCSB is about and it always will be as long as I am around. Each and every one of us enjoys the hobby in their own special way and that is how it should be. It is not mine, or anyone else place to tell you how you enjoy our great hobby. This is the core of what the site is about and I would hope we all will take a moment and remind ourselves of this important part of RCSB. Our community is a place we all can come to and if you are inexperienced be encouraged and assisted, or if you are experienced offer encouragement and assistance. Social media and the world today tends to encourage people to "call someone out" on something we may not agree with, but this will not occur here.
I would encourage everyone to review our Site Rules as a reminder as to what is expected from every member of this community. Wrapping up, I hope each of you will remember we all are different but everyone deserves to be treated in a respectful way as adults. Moving on, just a few items to cover this month in the site news...
1. As some of us start to think about new winter projects I hope you will take the time to post your project this year and do a build thread. I cannot convey to you how helpful these are to folks and the great feedback I get when I get to meet members face to face about how great it is to be able to follow these build threads. No matter what your skill level you should start one. We can all learn from each other.
2. With building season coming be sure and check out our supporting vendors and see what great deals they are offering this fall on their websites.
