This month's winner of Model Of The Month is

Thomas White's (invertmast) Scratchbuilt T-38C Talon

This is an beautiful model and build thread that certainly deserves
this award from the sheer amount of tips and information in Thomas's thread!

Follow Thomas through his build process and watch this model come alive.

For his efforts, Thomas has won an RCSB SWAG PACK that includes
an embroidered RCSB hat and a large RCSB Mug.

Each month I choose a model on the site worthy of this award,
so get back to work on that model or start a new build thread here on RCSB!

I've been following the build tips on this month's MOTM and it's incredible.  So much work that I can't even imagine going that far with a model. This guy has to be extremely dedicated, patient and just doggly determined to go the distance no matter the obstacles.

The maiden flight was mentioned a couple of times but I could not find the link to it. I'm pretty new on this forum so where might I find that? Thanks.

I'm still doing stick and tissue, a kit here and there and a couple of ARFs and it is enjoyable but I don't think I could ever get to this point or aquire the skills necessary to get anywhere close.  This type of work must be admired by any who dream of being this good.

After all is said and done, can this T-38 talon be produced as a kit and fiberglass copies sold or sold to a company that makes models?  That would make all of the hard work put into it that much more enjoyable to my way of thinking anyway, but I've found over the years that not many people think like me.

My favorite airplane of all time is Art Scholl's Super Chipmunk.  I've watched every video on his flying that I can find.  I built the Carl Goldberg version way back in 1987 and had more than 200 flights on that before the elevator broke at the end of loop.  In hindsight, pre-flight checkups would have prevented that. Since, I've bought two different kits and an ARF of the Super Chipmunk but they still sit in their lonely boxes.   blabber, blabber, blabber ...
