New to the site, but sure can't say I'm new.
I have been building since the mid '60s Control line) and Rc since early '70s. A bunch of kits behind me a lot of scratch builds from plans and many many of my own designs. Very few ARF's and not one of those built stock, some rather heavily moded.

No scale planes yet. But I have been acquiring what I need to build an  Andy Sheber Pitts s1s. Bought the plans, a DLE 60c twin, the fiberglass parts and canopy. Of late I have been acquiring the radio gear. Have most of it. Still need to get wood, fabric, dope and stuff.

Be a bit before I can start any builds or even finish any presently underway builds. Sold our house here in Ca. and waiting to close in Missouri. But hopefully mid next year or so I can get back to building planes. I know there will be plenty of non plane things to start on right off the bat.

Thanks abufletcher.

I have already learned things that would have made some previous projects easier or better.

I've thought about doing a scale build for many years. Have a couple of semi scale builds, one a total rebuild to finish up. But never started a scratch scale bird.

Welcome from someone who also started in the 60's.

If you remember the 60's, you really weren't there.  :)

Kenbuild:
Welcome to the site. I’ve been building since the ‘50’s. Makes me wonder where did I put that glue?

Be sure to join.

Cheers,

I started building Guillow's stick-and-tissue kits in the 60's, but never flew any of them.  Well, I sorta did.  I packed them with matches, set them alight, and chucked them into the air.
