All, we are thrilled to announce that "by chance" one of our products a 3D printed WW1 Spandau gun has been purchased by Shaun Garrity who advised us that he is a reviewer of products for the Radio Control Model and Electronics magazine. Shaun was actually building and reviewing the "Veron" kit of the Fokker DVIII and came across our website, he promptly ordered a set of Spandau's and has published his review in the May edition of RCM&E which is now available! We were not expecting this but are thrilled that he has briefly reviewed them and mentioned us in the magazine!

Thankyou Shaun!

New product design complete. The Allison twin manifold to one exhaust stack used on the early P51 and the P39's! Measurements taken from actual stacks as shown in the photographs!

It's been a while folks but Bert and I have been busy developing the website, building and refurbishing our models and getting on with life! We agreed we maybe getting older but definitely not slowing down! Now that we have caught up with a few things we thought it's about time to bring you all upto speed with what we have been doing

The website is now filling up nicely and there are "oodels" of new products and of course the old favourites!

here are 2 of our latest developments:-

The Drop Down Landing Light

We also have a controller for the landing light which can control upto 2 landing lights & servos, with an adjustable On/Off setting for the light unit, plus it can also control 2 additional LED lights for use such as ID lights. The light lens is available in various diameters from 34mm.

We have developed our range of wheels that include 3D printed inserts for the following aircraft:-

P-51, T-6, P-38, Spitfire (3 or 4 spoke), early Spitfire Mk1/2

The wheels are a GRP rim and an alloy bearing hub designed to meet the demands of large scale models. The size range is from 5 to 7 inch

Bert and myself hope everybody is safe and well, working on their new creations or even having that "I will just do a little bit more" thing when you want to add more scale detail to your aircraft!

Please feel free to have a look at the website

Thankyou

Cary

A favourite with the P-51 model builders is the wing gun port kits we developed a few years ago.

As we all know the gun ports at each wing position are slightly different because of each Browning gun being mounted slightly out of line with each other as shown below

Plus you can see that each gun port has a different gun barrel length (albeit these are mock ups of the real Browning on a P-51)

Here are our versions

These are available from our website or you can ask me a question right here on RCSB.

Cary,
interested if you can do any bits for a P40?

I'll be starting a 95" span P40 hopefully next year, think that works out to 1:471 scale.

Machine gun ports and cockpit parts are what I am mostly after.  Should be a good market for those I would think.

thanks
cheers
Peter

Hi Peter, good to hear from you. The gun ports we do supply them. Cockpits we presently don’t do anything for the P-40 as my friend Brian at Dynamic Balsa does a kit fir the 100” Jerry Bates kit.
If you want wheels, exhaust (round or fishtail type) for your P-40, we do have those available!
If you need any further information please feel free to contact us
Thankyou
Cary

Hi Cary,
thanks for the reply mate.
the DB kit would be a tad too big I am thinking.

Any photos of the gun ports for P40 you have done or would you need to do from scratch?

Exhausts would probably be fishtail type but I'm yet to finalise my scheme though leaning towards North Africa RAF or RAAF.

cheers
Peter
