I've had a lot of questions on how to cool the engine and I've heard a picture is worth a thousand words so we'll give it a shot. Also the dummy engine plate installs right over the head of the engine creating a tunnel to force the air through the cooling fins and out.

Love the look of the Pfalz. It does grab me.

Very keen to look at the 1/4 scale version (once available) but had some serious concerns as to how I could cool the engine. This aircraft has not been modelled a lot because of this issue I suspect.

That panel certainly looks like a workable solution. An other option would be to make it a solid removable panel. In place for scale judging. Removed for flying.

Those cowlings look amazing!  How ironic that on the original the raised part surrounding the front cylinder was there to prevent it from running too cool in the frigid high altitude air.
