If you took the time to read about our Site Supporter subscription you would know it is a user funded community. I'm sorry you feel so negative about how we run things here and I wish everything in the world was free as well. Unfortunately this site (like all sites its size) is very expensive to run with the bandwidth and server requirements. And since scale building is such a small community we cannot survive off advertising alone. I am sorry you have chosen not to join the site. However, there are may sites out there that don't charge, you just have wade through all the "BS" as you call it. Best of luck to you in your scale building!

Man I feel like a used car salesman now But I wish Jim would consider the difference between us and the amount of wasted life I have read on the "other forums". and the cost of us being here. There are several hours of my life missing out there some place from reading their junk. On the other hand I have personally met a few people I can actually say I'm a better person for have known though this site. Heck I even joined a local club due to meeting Vicar here.

Jim you didnt mention your location but the MCRC has a club field just north of Bloomington on Whiley road.
One of the nicest grass fields I have flown at and i have flown models all over the world.
Our club has numerous fun flys throught out the season plus a Club 40 pylon race that rotates between three clubs it is almost as much fun to watch as it is to fly pretty competitive racing with inexpensive low key racing.
We have the club swap meet this weekend on Sunday at the Monroe Co fairgrounds.
$5 entry at the door open's at 0800.
Just come on by and ask for Sparky or Tim1
