I am interested in war birds and sport planes. I have never built a plane from just plans before.
I really like the B-25 but I'm guessing that is way above my skill level.
Do you have any suggestions for my first build form plans?

For a firsty something pretty straightforward, fixed gear, etc.  How big do you want to go/how big is your shop, too!
Jerry Bates has some good ones such as the DH 94 Moth Minor, Druine Turbulent, Interstate Cadet, Welch OW-5M, Interstate L-6 and the Percival Provost.
Wendel Hostetler has the PT-19.
Look around at the designers forum and you can get a good idea.
Don't forget the Kits forum - you can frequently buy the plans and do it yourself.
Many kit cutters cut the kits for the designers here on the site, too.
You might want to look at the list of cut kits from Precision Cut Kits, National Balsa, Laser Cut USA to name a few.

OK - Jerry has a couple at 1/6 scale.  Look through Model Airplane News' plans section, same with Model Aviation, and RCMPlans Service
They all offer a variety of plans in a variety of scales
