Larry,
You have missed the fun, looking forward to seeing you in the morning. Look out for Mike, he is the sun burnt one from Alabama.

Sorry Ben, I haven't got any photo reduction SW on my company laptop, otherwise I would. There has been no competition today as there is standing water on the strip and all through the pits, literally 4-6" in parts. Hopefully tomorrow this will crank back up for a one round shoot out. Its tough for Frank for sure, I suspect that its unheard of to have this much rain at any competition. However I don't know anyone who is capable of changing the weather.

Sorry to hear of the rain. That's why I decided to stay at home. I live about an hour 1/2 north of Lakeland and we've been in miserable weather for the past two days.

Well it turns out that we needed to bring more than an umbrella! Waders would have been better to have in this years Top Gun
Here is a few shots for those of you who didn't make it, be glad you stayed home!
Frank did try and fly one round of Expert and Masters Sunday but I headed home after taking these shots Saturday around noon when it was still raining. I have no idea if they did any flying Sunday or not.

Larry B

This is the tent for overnight model storage, aren't you glad your pride and joy is not in there?

[/IMG]

This is the "static judging" area, I should have brought a float plane!

[/IMG]

This photo is looking to the Left down the first row of tents, the water was over ankle deep in some areas. Ask me how I know this!

[/IMG]

This last photo is of the grass runway on the far edge of the pavement, it was also ankle deep in places.

[/IMG]

Oh well, you can't count on the weather, hopefully next year mother nature will be better to us.

Sorry we missed you again Larry, yes we did fly today - it ended up as a one round shootout in the Saturday and Sunday classes , The weather was bright , sunny and hot complete with a variable crosswind. Dave Ribbe won overall TG with his beautiful Mig 15. Pretty disappointing with the weather but considering the circumstances , most had a good time.
Plan to be back next year.
