Hi Thomas,
Would you have room to take an unloved Pancake home with you for a while? If you would like I can bring the V173 with me and you can keep it awhile to see how I did some of the mechanical stuff inside.

When we have finished at Top Gun on the Sunday night or Monday we have 5 Days to drive to Joe Nall .

Exactly when is the best time to arrive at Joe Nall, Friday morning?

We have a large RV.    Would any of you care to recommend places to stop on the way.

Aircraft museams of coarse, we have been to Fantasy of flight and the Space center before  but outstanding camp grounds and places of interest would be good.

It is 560 miles according to Google.

Richard, my recommendation would be to plan on arriving early Friday morning if possible, as they will line up the campers outside the 'gate' and you enter at 5:00 PM according to the order in which you arrive on site.

As for museums, and places of interest, Karl and I did that run a few years ago, and we found it difficult to find many really good museums along the way, but them maybe we did not search in the right places.

Some of the locals could probably make some suggestions.

Before you leave Lakeland, you could also head over to Busch Gardens in Tampa for a day's entertainment, and Disney World or Universal Studios in Orlando for a day or so each

The only museum i can think of is the mighty eight museum off I95 near Savanah, Ga. Ive never been there, so i cant comment on its quality.
Also a bit out of the way is the us navy museum in pensacola, fl

Karl and I went to the Mighty 8th about 5 or 6 years ago, and was not impressed with the presentation and expected a lot more WW II presentation.  Did not even have a B-17 there at the time, but had a B-36 parked outside.

It's a bit out of the way in terms of a direct route from TG to Nall, but how about the Naval air museum in Pensacola?
