hi Guys

just checking in after joining the forum

anyways the reason i joined is simple, i want to build a 1/5ish P51 D mustang, be it from a kit or at least a short kit as i would prefer the templates laser cut and i would like your considerable knowledge on the best one to build

i am not new to flying and fly mostly 50cc aerobats at the moment, i have also flown smaller scale stuff, i am also not new to building as during my spare time i build for other people, from trainers to turbines

but the trouble is most of the work is of the ARTF variety and i fancy a bit of balsa bashing,

i have been pointed to the topflite GS P51, which looks ok, but will need to add outer doors and oil cooler flaps, so i am looking for suggestions from you guys that have experience of different kits

thanks

Hi, and welcome to the site.  Please be sure and check out the site supoporter program to take full advantage of the site: http://www.rcscalebuilder.com/page_display.asp?pid=5

If you are set on a D model, you can try this : http://www.bhplans.com/BTPlansPg2.html

Nick Ziroli has this offering: http://www.ziroliplans.com/ziroliplans/cat_frameset.html

If you can stand an A model / A36, Jerry Bates has this http://jbplans.com/shop/category.asp?catid=76

Be sure and start a build thread when you get going!
