You say you have been building models for years. Are we talking about plastic models? Those require different building techniques. You also mentioned you contacted a nearby club so does that mean you are not an active RC Pilot? If you want to get back/begin flying RC the bigger airplanes will be easier to learn to fly on. One of the club members could look over your stash and likely help you pick out a suitable entry airplane. Selling a vast horde of models and kits online will become a hobby unto itself. Some don't have the temperament. 1/2 the MSRP is a decent gauge of the value of the stuff you have. For storage of your models don't put them in an uncondition room the material will deteriorate. There are some who buy estates on a lump sum purchase its best to have an idea what these are worth before you start to deal with them. There is a big swap meet in GA in the spring that might be a good place to move the majority of the stuff you have. Again you need to know what the stuff you have is worth. Look at the ARF’s and RTF will be easy sells at most swap meets. They are the low hanging fruit in the model world especially any NIB stuff. Fuel properly stored and unopened will last for years. I wouldn't send that to hazmat out of hand. Sport fuel sells for $25 a gallon I would $15 a gallon if the condition can be verified.
