April Site Supporter Download
Posted: Admin @ April/01/2021 8:18am
This month we have an awesome an unique walk-around by member Andy Septon of his wife's Auster Mk 5 G-BXKX. Built in 1944 as a Mk 4,  it was modified to a Mk 5 the following year. This aircraft actually saw service in WWII, following the D-Day troops into Europe until it was damaged during a raid by an Fw 190. It is believed to be the oldest flying Auster! This walk-around has over 200 images with lots of detail!

This is an excellent subject to add to your walk-around collection.

April Site News
Posted: Admin @ April/01/2021 7:50am
Greeting all,

I hope this post finds you all either getting ready to start our flying season here in the Northern Hemisphere or winding your flying season down in the Southern Hemisphere (down under). We have a great hobby and no matter what time of year it is there is always something to do!

Just a few quick items this month...

1. Site update - I rolled out an additional feature this week, When you click on the Profile link at the bottom of a member's post (or actually anywhere a member's username is linked) not only will you see that member's profile information, but you will also see a list of the Topics they have started (if any). This feature has been requested by many but unfortunately I had to make several other changes before this one was possible (I hate working on other peoples code). I hope you find it helpful and I will continue to try and optimize your experience here.

2. Supporting Vendors - If you are shopping for hobby items please be sure and try to use our supporting vendors if possible. Like those that help support this site with your subscriptions, our supporting vendors contribute to help out also. You can find them by clicking on the Menu link "RCSB Vendors". Thanks!

3. Did You Know? - At the bottom of every Topic page there are several "Similar topics you might be interested in".

4. Site Supporters - Be sure to check out the new 2nd Quarter Vendor resource Guide.

That's it for this month. I hope you all have a great April and get those winter projects in the air!
