What is a Site Supporter Subscription?

Running a high-traffic site like RCSCALEBUILDER.COM costs quite a bit of money each month. While banner advertising covers a small portion of the total cost (because there are so few scale r/c vendors), we rely mostly on our community to fund this site's existence by offering a yearly subscription. Here is how it works.

For a yearly subscription fee of $25.00 US (less than most magazines) you will receive the following:

1. Unlimited number of post in forums (as opposed to just 5 with the basic (free) account)
2. Unlimited ability to upload images to be stored on the RCSB server for your posts (basic(free) accounts cannot upload images)
3. Access to the Scale Vendor Resource Guide
4. Access to the private Site Supporters forum that includes the last 24 Monthly walk-around downloads (different aircraft subject each month)
5. Access to the private Scale Plan Repository (over 70 plans currently available)
6. Access to the private 3D Printer File Repository
7. Access to the Scale Model Finder
   
8. Vendor Monthly Special Offers only for RCSB Site Supporters
9. Participate in drawings and contests only open to RCSB Site Supporters

How do I purchase a subscription?

It's really simple, just follow these steps to purchase an RCSB Site Supporter subscription.

1. IMPORTANT: If you do not already have a free account on the site you need to set one up by clicking here.
2. Make sure you are logged in with your basic account username and password (so your account will be credited appropriately).
3. Make your $25.00 subscription payment by clicking on the PayPal/Card graphic in the "Become A Site Supporter!" box in the upper left corner of this page. You can use all major credit and debit cards or if you have a PayPal account, you can easily pay that way also.
4. You should receive a receipt of your payment via email once it is processed.
5. Your account will be updated to Site Supporter status within 24 hours. After that, you should see "Site Supporter" under your username in posts.

How do I renew my Site Supporter Status?

To renew your Site Supporter status, make sure you are logged into the site with your username and password and simply click on the PayPal/Card graphic in the "Become A Site Supporter!" box in the upper left corner of this page and make your payment. Your payment will extend your site supporter status an additional 12 months beyond what you have currently paid.

Lifetime Supporter Program

RCSCALEBUILDER.COM now has a new option for you all who wish to support the site on a long-term basis and save the annoyance of yearly payments. For a reasonable one-time fee, you will receive Lifetime Site Supporter status for as long as you or RCSB lives (we aren't going anywhere). Now you have the opportunity to show your support for the site and receive additional benefits. No more having to worry when your site supporter subscription expires.

What benefits will receive with a Lifetime Supporter status?

1. Unlimited FTP access to the ENTIRE RCSCALEBUILDER.COM CD image collection (currently over 120 CD images and more to come) with no limitation on time or number of image files downloaded (over a $1500.00 value if purchased separately).
2. Occasional special offers and discounts just for Lifetime Supporters.
3. An RCSB T-shirt or Mug.
4. All of the benefits that a regular RCSB Site Supporter receives.
5. Special recognition with a Lifetime Site Supporter group tag.
6. No hassling with yearly subscription fees anymore.

What does this cost? Not very much when you look at the benefits you receive. Lifetime Site Supporter memberships are $250.00 US and entitle you to all the benefits listed above.
