I was thinking that I was a sick man for having about 50 kits in their boxes, but now, I see that I am normal!.....

Once, a friend told me that the limit for the insanity is when you have more kits to assemble than your life expectation!... well, I hope to not be at this point, but I will need many years of life yet!....

However, considering that the most part of people "stock" money for their retiring, I don't see any problem in stocking kits, for the same reason!....

Eduardo Lara

Kits are a rather poor investment, money-wise!  But FUN!

My watchmaker friend Hans Weber always said:
"Invest in a quality timepiece!"
He's pretty poor, but has a very decent watch...
At least he invested in something he knew something about.
The collector kit market is collapsing as we speak, if anybody is interested.  If you were looking to unload kits, do it now before they become completely worthless...as we speak, more and more fellows are passing the bar and their kit collections coming to market, and finding fewer and fewer buyers.  Even more so for engines.

Im embarrased to say that Ive got at least 20 unbuilt kits lying around. Not as much time in the shop as I used to have. Teenagers!

There are two things you cannot have too many of...Guitars & airplanes...
In comparing my collections of both....I ONLY need more guitars

I agree with all your comments. However, here in Brazil, is too difficult to find current kits and almost impossible to find the old ones. The most part of people prefer the ARFs! So, when I have the opportunity to buy goods kits from ebay or other way, I try to buy them. Of course, this always depends on the price and shipping to here!....
