Hi,
Just joined today, Jan.9, 2026. Actually found this site by accident while doing some research on a Cessna 310.  I've been involved in RC for about 35years. Currently fly aerobatics and pattern. I do spend most of my time on RCG.

Currently putting together, a Seagull Models Cessna 310, 81inch WS, looks like a clone of the Top Flite Cessna 310.
Can't seem to find anyone else who has one of these planes. Found a guy in Germany but he hasn't posted anything in months.  Can't believe I'm the only one, at least according to my research.....

Besides my aerobatics planes, I have a B17, B24, and a Corsair.

Anyway, hello, glad to be here.  :)

Welcome to the group.  I haven't been here long myself and just getting started.  Like you I found this site by accident after searching for info on Meister P-47 builds.  There is a pluthera of information here from very experienced builders (which I am not, at least from scratch).  I would suggest going ahead and spending the $25 to become a site supporter as it opens up a ton more options.  I personally think its well worth it in my own opinion, especially if your interested in scale building like I am.

As for the 310, Ive been noticing like you say, that it seems Seagull and Phoenix both are releasing their own versions of the old Top Flight and other kits from days gone by.  From what I gather the 310 is a fairly new release here in the States, so it may take a bit to start getting information or seeing other builds.  You may be one of the first few, so start documenting on threads! You might end up helping some "young buck" like me later on down the road as I find tons of info from old threads in forums like this one.

Mrbassman:

Welcome to the group.  As drky suggested, the $25.00 will open up more options.  At your present status, you’re limited to just 5 posts.  This group has dozens of vendors offering their products at discounts for us members as well as offering advice.  There are extremely advanced modelers here but they’re easily approachable
& down to earth.

These guts will offer tons of suggestions or ideas based upon their own experiences.

The Cessna-310 is truly a unique aircraft to model after.  The real one is one of the few private aircraft that can literally carry its own weight & cruise in the mid-200+ mph range without huffing.

I used to live in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, CA so I’m familiar with your area.  Now I live in Reno, NV.

Anyway, welcome & hope you’ll stay.

Hey Bassman!  Good luck on your search for builds.

As has been mentioned there are a lot of experienced builders here and while they may not have a 310 in their inventory they can certainly help you along.

DrKy and Skye are correct, it is well worth the $25 to join, there are a lot of perks besides those mentioned.  Probably the cheapest RC investment you can make!
