Over on our Facebook page, we have been putting the spotlight on some of the people participating in next year's World Champs

One of the most enjoyable aspects of international competition is the friendships you make with like minded individuals from all over the globe. A World Champs gives you the opportunity not only to strengthen, but to forge new connections.

We are delighted to be welcoming some participants from South America in 2026, when we shall have a Brazilian judge for the first time. In addition, Colombia shall make their F4 World Champs debut. Let us meet Angelo Quintero Guinand

How long have you been competing in Scale events?
I started competing and judging in F4 scale events in 2021. Since then, I have learned many new things and I am always working to get better. Every event is a chance to improve and to learn something new.

When was your first World Champs?
This will be my first time competing in a world championship and the first time for my country, I am very excited and I am looking forward to the experience. I have studied the last championships and analysed the pilots’ projects and performances to prepare as much as possible.

What aircraft do you intend to compete with in 2026?
I will compete with a Ryan PT22, It is a classic airplane from the early 1940’s, I am working very hard to finish it as soon as possible, It has been a great challenge for me.

What are you most looking forward to about a UK World Champs?
I am most looking forward to living this experience. It has been a big challenge and a dream for me to be at the F4 world championship, to compete, to build my plane, and to fly it there. Being in the UK for this event, representing my country with all the people who will take part, will be very special for me. I am also glad to meet pilots and builders I have been following and learning from, who are legends in this sport.
