We all know how i can’t resist a good project, we can never have enough right?

Well… my son and I have acquired the most ambitious project yet. I was able to purchase the impressive landing gear, while the airplane they go to was given to my son, this is going to be a good time.

For a little bit of history on the model and the how’s and why’s, for those who visit facebook, here’s why….

20’ RC B-29 bomber restoration

For those who are not facebook users, the short story is….

We have obtained the last example of Mac Hodges’ amazing B-29s.    This will be a project that we will begin once a few nearly finished projects are done and will hopefully be a fairly simple, yet time consuming, repair to get the model flying again.   Once that happens, we will begin working on some impressive upgrades and changes.

For now, here are a few photos from the pickup day.

Vic, your statement is predicated that our beloved Redneck was stable to begin with. T-dub is mad as a hatter, and we would not have it any other way.

Thomas, what happened to building one, not buying one?
