Hello, My name is Cliff im from Naples fl. I fly scale helicopters, and 3d. My planes i fly the most are 70cc, Mamba with da 70, Ef lazer with gp 76, Ef yak dle 61, pilot super decathlon 122, with a gp76 has smoke and lights. One of are club member gave me a b-17 with 4 os 120 4 strokes, wingspan is 138" I think its a Don smith plane. I have no plans i like to know where the Cg on this plane. Planes has sat for a few years so i will have to go threw everthing on it make sure its airworthy. Club member also gave me a cessna t-50 (Bambo bomber) with 2 g-26s took a few months to get airworthy, I have a few flights on it. The planes were build by a club member who has pass on at the age of 101. He was a ball turret gunner in the b-17 . Rocky will be missed.

Welcome onboard Cliff! Interesting boredom free subjects there. Smith's design has been bashed ever which way.
What does it weigh? Electric upgrade is a strong suggestion as these can be a bit of a pain being a 4 by recip. I'm
with Max awaiting what you drag out into the light of your shop.

Ed

I dont know the weight yet, but seens to me to be heavy, And i have been thinking of going electric ( would need help with that) But im a gas guy i love to sound of 4 4strokes singing in the air. But for the relability electric may be best. I did see it fly with the 120 os 4 strokes fly nice and the sound was awesome. But i have time to read more and learn as much as i can on this big bird.

Cliff, interesting inventory of models. Electric power is neat, easy and fun. Plenty of help here.
