Greetings fellow RCSB'ers. Lots of fly-ins and contests here in the Northern Hemisphere. I know our pals down-under are starting to sharpen their x-actos and cleaning off their building benches for another building season. No matter if you are flying this month or building please be sure to do it safely and try to share this great hobby with someone new this month.
Just a few items to cover this month in the site news...
1. PHOTOS FROM EVENTS - While attending events this flying season if you take some picture be sure and share them in the "Scale Events" forum. Everyone would love to see all the beautiful models out there. I look forward to seeing more this year!
2. TIP FOR APPLE USERS - To fully enjoy RCSB and get the most out of your experience here, I would suggest you load Google Chrome or Firefox and use one of them as your primary browser. Apple Safari is well known for lagging behind other browsers and lacks many of the features and security these other browsers have.
3. MODEL SAFETY - I hope every one of you takes the time to go though each of your models thoroughly at the beginning of each flying season. If you have not done this in the past, you certainly should be doing it now. I have put together a seasonal model checklist that you are free to download and use. Feel free to share this with your club members and flying buddies. You can download the checklist in PDF format by clicking here.
4. EMAIL ADDRESS - Please double check your email address in your profile (click on [My Profile] on the site menu). We require a current email address in case we need to get in touch with you yet a large number of members have let their email addresses go stale and not updated them. If you have an old email address you no longer have access to and need to update it simple shoot me a message with your username and and new email address and I will be happy to update it for you. Don't forget you can manage the forums or topics you are following in [My Profile].
