While I picked up some bind and flies to start, I love the scale aircraft built by craftsmen on this site and ordered plans for the 80 inch Howard Ike Miss Chevrolet DGA-5 as my entry to scale projects. You will find setup and use to be much easier for installation and flight. That should get us off to a good start. In visiting a local flying field, I was surprised to hear members say that most fly electric as it is cheaper than building a kit, and glow fuel is getting more difficult to find. Still, for me, the craftsmanship in construction the airplane and tuning the engine is an integral part of the hobby. I hope my grandson will form an appreciation for building, covering, and flying something he built as well...more so than popping another battery in a foamie, although we did pick up some of those as well. Keith, I find no fault with your transmitter model memory logic! Jeff, I spend a lot of time learning from master craftsmen in your building forums and appreciate the welcome.
