I was inspired to build this aircraft because of its general features and appropriateness for a slope glider or future EDF model.  I have always liked the ME 262, but as a slope glider there was a lot of drag produced from those engine nacelles (I built a small glider of it back in the late 1990s).  The 1092 has certain characteristics of the 262 and with its single jet beneath the pilot, it represents a streamlined German jet - or perhaps more accurately - would have been a cool German jet if it was ever built.  Like many German aircraft of "Luft46" fame http://www.luft46.com/ , the 1092/5 never was built.

The model has a 68" ws and weighs 6 lbs.  Made of EPP foam and covered in brown paper (PVA adhesive).  Photos were taken at the PSS Fest at the Cajon Summit in So. Cal. over Memorial Day weekend.

Wow Wade, very nicely done. Quite the unusual subject. Of course, I’m a dark side fan so I like it even more

Thanks for the compliments guys. This diversion from more traditional scale subjects was fun. Still had to 3views as reference but I had no issues with making some design changes to suit my preferences. For example, I thought the plane would be a great platform for 6 20mm canons rather than the four on the drawings. I also made the fuse a bit more streamline since I was not stuffing an engine in it. I also pushed the tail surfaces back for a bit more leverage/authority.
