No there isn't.  That's the one thing different from most other spinners.  It has what I would call a front plate.  The bottom inch or so is the front plate that bolts to the prop shaft above the prop.  The rest of the spinner cone then bolts to the plate via 4 socket head bolts.  You can see a couple of the holes for the bolts in the pics.

I don't see any issue with this other than some considerations during construction and set up to get the spacing right.  But the prop itself butts against the drive washer which I think is better than a spinner back plate.

I am not sure that would work in some applications having the back plate with a groove in it that the spinner cone can lock into (ala True Turn) would prevent distorting at high RPM and power impulses imparted to the prop and spinner.
This design would be ideal for the planes were the spinner extends past the plane of rotation of the back of the prop like the Sea furry and several other British designs.
I do like the security of the 4 bolts to a front plate it eliminates the center bolt that is only holding the spinner by compression force of that single bolt. In racing with a 6" spinner on a 35 HP engine. We keyed the spinner with a set screw in the spinner back plate groove and notched the lip of the Spinner to prevent the spinner cone from slipping during starting. I changed the bolt out on a yearly basis (Grade 5 per True-Turn recommendation) since if the spinner lets loose it takes the prop off and the engine and the airframe and....and.....and you know what happens next.

So I see advantages and disadvantages to either design.

This actually works better if you have a back plate with a center bolt and you tighten it really tight all the torque
Down the cone thus causing the back plate to bend were as moving it to the front of the prop and not having a center bolt this won’t happen and then you can drill your 4or6 bolts to hold prop and part of spinner knowing that prop won’t shift and hit the spinner cut outs and the you screw on the rest of the spinner with the 3 or 4domed head screws I did make spinners for Mark & Merlyn KI 100 models Thanks Graham

I have made a spinner for a 1/3 scale spitfire it has kook 330 engine for a modeler in New Zealand and he has run it said no problems
