Here is the line up for the 2019 Albuquerque Radio Control Club (ARCC) sanctioned events.  We are looking forward to a successful year with great participation, gathering of pilots to share in the adventure of flying, and spectators enjoying viewing the flights and hopefully getting involved in the hobby.

Competition will be on the Saturday (the field will be open prior for “fun flying” and “tuning” your entry(s)).

We have a newly refurbished runway and, through the volunteer efforts of a few, 5 new larger assembly tables.  In addition to the covered area and the “aircraft parking” in front of it, there is plenty of open aircraft parking to the south of the control center.

Vehicle parking lanes are painted and we ask any participants with RVs to park to make the most of the space while allowing ample spaces for local pilots and spectators.

We ask that the parking spaces next to the covered area be left open for pilots to unload/upload their models and equipment with them relocating to parking spots within the total parking lot.

Restrooms are available as are running water faucets next to the central control area.  For safety reasons, use this water for other than direct drinking.

A limited number of electrical outlets are available at the cover areas, however, these are served for pilots, not direct RV plug ins.

The field gate will be open 24/7 for several days prior to the Saturday competition.  There is no security provided for the location, so make sure to have someone help you watch your planes and equipment during the day and secure your stuff at night.

Food and drinks will be available on Saturday (competition day).

Lunches will be provided by Papa Murphy’s pizza for a very reasonable price (2 slices of pizza, a drink [soft drink, ice tea or water] and a cookie).

Saturday night awards dinners will be catered (price for registered pilots) included in the landing fee.  Additional dinner tickets will be available at a reasonable cost.

Information for a specific meet can be obtained from the event CD or you can email me at keithperry1303@comcast.net and I will get the answer to you ASAP.

We hope to see as many of you attend as possible.  Albuquerque is a great place to visit.

Send me an email if you are interested in attending any (hopefully all) event or have any questions.

Come enjoy the excitement of flying at our 2019 meets from a newly resurfaced (2019) 800 foot by 100 foot asphalt runway located on the mesa west of Albuquerque.

Here are some photos of the field.

Looking to the south.

For any information about the field, please visit the Albuquerque Radio Control Club web site at http://arcc.club/ . We will reply ASAP.
