One would think the Naval Museum would find a way to keep the wings in proper datum instead
of having to turn buckle them. Hope to revisit later this year and take photos of the two A6E.

We were there the week the new hangar was supposed to open...just to find out opening had been
delayed by an Admiral who could not come until a week later. He forbid entry until it was officially
opened. The closest we got was looking at the rear of the A6E's through a side window.

Those turnbuckles were to help fold the wings for storage.  Crazy slow process, especially compared to the Grumman Avenger, fully powered.
It's one of the best museums in the world.  I hope to get back there soon.

I was given a 1/6 scale Vindicator just yesterday.  It's about 80% done but will need to be finished.  I suspect, but I don't know for sure, it was built from plans.  It came with a lot of documentation however, it's not enough to complete the model.  As soon as I get a chance I'll post some photos of it.

Yes, please. Neat plane, rarely modeled.
