Hey you all. Just got back from the NATS, having competed in FunScale Novice. Had a good time, learned a lot. Also learned I have a LOT to learn. That is why I am on this site.
I have my mind set on duplicating a homebuilt, the Wittman Tailwind. One is accessible locally ( trying to contact the owner ). I am looking forward to the experience.

Welcome Randy, this is the site to learn.  There are many very talented and skilled craftsmen on the site.  I learn something almost everyday, just read some of the threads.  Expand your variety of aircraft, you may not want to build one but you will pickup valuable tips on how to do things.  Also ask questions, these wonderful people are always willing to help.  You need to become a site supporter, it is the best $20.00 you will ever spend in the hobby.

I live just down I-35 from you, maybe we have met at some of events in the area.

Rich

Welcome to the site Randy.  Hope to you see frequently.  I once did a pre-purchase inspection on a full scale Tailwind (it didn't pass).  I too, learn something everyday.  it's a great site with great people helping each other out.

Sincerely,

Gary (Skye)
