Well, that's what I first imagined when I got to the crash site of my CMP Zero on Friday. Had a bad ignition battery and she quit over to the East of our field. That's a swamp as of late and she hit in the water then skipped over to the land. Although the WWII Zero crash in Alaska flipped over as well, this time it didn't. I can repair the damage with some glass work and new plywood supports on the wing saddle area. Old Saburo Saki has been thru quite a few bad landings, and he lived to fly once more. The WWII crashed Zero was rebuilt and flown to evaluate Zero performance by Army test pilots.
