After a 50 yr. hiatus from stick built and silk span planes I got back into RC after seeing a magazine on where this hobby has gone in all those years, "Man was I impressed". My first build was a 40 size trainer the Eagle 11 a Goldberg model, I still have it

I have been a lover of the P-51 as far back as I can remember and decided to build the 1/5 TF P-51 mustang gold kit, nothing like jumping in with both feet. I chose this plane just to prove to myself I could build it as it's an advanced skill level kit. Only problem I had was knowing where to quit and I took it to the limit. I made almost every thing you will see and it has Robert retracting gear and a DLE 55cc engine, it's painted with automotive base coat/clear coat paint and graphics are dry transfer, plane has won awards in it's first Scale Masters event.

It flies on rails and is fast.

My second scale build is a fuselage modified 1/4 scale Sig Spacewalker 11, has Robert cub gear and is powered by a DLE 35RA engine and automotive paint same as above. this plane has also won an award, I'm proud of both of them.

I'm presently building a 1/4 scale Balsa USA J3 cub into a Super Cub in BALSA Kits section, I'm going the limit on that one also.

Hope you enjoy the pictures,

Leroy
