Hello everyone.

I'm Jason Holden and I've been in the R/C hobby since 1974. I've built every kind of kit or semi kit or scratch built aircraft you can imagine but nothing to the fine workmanship some of you have done here on RCSCALEBUILDER.COM> In February 2015 I was unfortunate enough to have had a heart attack with subsequent triple bypass surgery. While recovering from the surgery I contracted pneumonia and after the Dr's did chest x-rays they found out I also had Pulmonary Fibrosis.. A lung disease with no cure and short mortality rate. Usually not over 5 years. So now I'm on 24 hour oxygen therapy. R/C has been a large part of my life since I was 24 years old and it is still the only joy I get besides ripping a few lips of a few bass here in Texas on Lake Sam Rayburn or at my summer place in Upstate NY. I'm in the process of gathering up what I need to build the Brian Taylor 82" Corsair. I have everything I need now except a set of retracts that don't cost more than the whole plane itself. LOl. So I'll probably end up building them also. So that's a little bit on me. Thank you for including me in your wonderful site. My family says that since my surgery and subsequent bad news about my lung condition I've had  a tendency to be a little short or grumpy. I will do everything in my power to not do it here.  Happy landings. Jason.

Jason, welcome to RCSB and so sorry to hear about the fibrosis.  I suffer asthma but not too badly - I can not imagine having to carry O2 with me all the time.

Looking forward to seeing your build!

Hi Jason,
I just joined here myself and this is a great place to find all kinds of useful info for your scale build. I look forward to seeing your Corsair come together.

Well, I thank you all for your kindness. Seeing as I have to return to the hospital for a procedure and then plan my trip back to NY to set up camp. MY build will be postponed for a while. May be a year before I get to it. That is if I have a year in decent health to be able to do it at all.  MY main reason of joining is to soak up all the info on other's BT Corsair builds so that just maybe I can learn from they're mistakes and or ideas and that will lessen the time money and aggravation of not having an instruction sheet or book to help. This will be the first scratch built I have done without at least an instruction sheet with pics to go by. Right now my #1 priority is to get well and study study study everything I can get my hands on about this bird. Again Thank you all! You are very much appreciated.  Jason.
