Very nice! Don't feel bad about the nose weight, I ran into a modeler down at Top Gun flying a Mick Reeves Sopwith Camel and he had 13lbs in the nose of his model. Remember those WWI airplanes that were powered by a rotary engine had no nose on them!

Nice, Claude, looks great.  Appears to fly with a bit more authority then the ones I have seen with a direct drive G62 in the nose.

UPDATE:

I moved the weight off the firewall to the dummy engine and front lip of the cowl. Shed just over 2 pounds off of her and she flies even better!

Now I can take her to Dayton!!

How did you attach the cowl to the firewall so it supports all that weight. I have a plane that can use that technique but I am afraid it could pull the cowl on a hard landing - of course I never do that.

Sorry Vicar, I just now saw your post. I used socket head servo screws, about 30 or so. I had used them for the metal panels and sanded down the heads. They looked really good so I used them for the cowl also, but did not sand them down.
