We've had some great temps lately, but the wind has been pretty heavy. Started off the day with nice winds but grew to 15-20 mph gusts as the day grew long. Field is Greater South West Aero Modelers Club. All pics by local photog Glenn Baker.

We hoped to get a few more warbirds flown, but some days don't work out as planed. One guy had transmitter failure before flight and had brought TWO warbirds and another guy could have brought a warbird, but the winds forecast convinced him otherwise.

This is a World Models 80" Miss America ARF with DLE-35, flaps added and Sierra retracts. Owned and flown by Michael Schultz.

P-6 Hawk ARF. Pretty sure this is Max Ficken's bird.

Lee Rice's Ziroli F4U Top Gun mount. Zenoah 80cc twin. Lee placed in the top 5 at Top Gun Expert Class several years in a row with the Corsair. Plane flies like it's on rails. One of the highest static planes at TG. That's Lee hiding behind the plane. He's now building an even BIGGER Corsair with Moki 150 radial. He's a rare one that is an equally good builder/flyer.

Here's Mr Potato Head with his Wild Hare ARF 85" Hellcat Drone. Sierra Retracts and DLE-55 side exhaust. Flew well.

Just got this from Glenn Baker. Wow, this is some razor sharp imaging. Glenn is really good with his camera.

We had another good flying day here in Fort Worth. Winds have been in the 20 to 30 mph range the last few weeks. Got a break today with mostly South winds under 10 mph.

We had 8 warbirds out to the field. 2 (?) ME-109's, 1 (Yellow) P-47, 2 (CMP) Zero's, 1 (TF) P-40, 1 (?) ME-163, and 1 (TF) FW-190. All flew nicely.

I maidened Steve Nicholsen's CMP Zero with DLE-55 today also. Flew fine but transmitter refused to bind on the 2nd attempt to fly. We did enough on the one flight to get it trimmed for Steve to take back to San Antonio to get some stick time before the Scale Master's Qualifier this June.

My CMP Zero flew nicely. Glad to get the nice weather today.
