I know it's a bit early but two months will go by quick! Brenda and I will be there keeping our fingers crossed for good weather.

Hey  Larry,

Vikie and I will be going just for a day, and I won't be competing.

It is nice to say hi to our customers though

I am going, Neil (laser) Tidey and myself are taking a RV and staying on the airfield then going on to Joe Nall.
I have been to Lakeland airfield a few times but not to the new sight. Now with added runway.

   I am taking the PT22 .
I believe Lakeland was a big training base in last war and I have seen a picture of many 22s on the base.

This one is a model of the prototype, 001 and was flown by Glaud Ryan himself  befor ending up in England .

If the model survives Top Gun and Joe Nall I will sell it or store it until next year.

Here we are in 2008, the last time I got there with a model.
This is my Swordfish and Len Ashdown's from Canada.

Richard,

I remember seeing your Swordfish in 08. Doubt I will make Top Gun, but will be good to see you at Joe Nall.

Im going all the way from the sunny UK.

Our family holiday just happened to coincide with the event

Really looking forward to it. I rarely get to meet anyone who builds scale in my local clubs, so ill probably need a holiday afterwards!

Out of interest, is public transport any good in that area or is it not worth considering? I'm staying just off the i4 next to Highlands Golf Club on the 27 . Any local knowledge welcome.

Adam

Personally, I would get a car, or plan on finding a new friend with one. Are you flying into Orlando? If so, it is a relatively short drive. You will also want to make a side trip to Fantasy of Flight.

Thayer,

OK. My wife needs to be persuaded to let me take the car and leave her somewhere nice for the day though!
