Is their a good thread to understand how the radio setup should be done on a plane like this?
Like how do I install the servo for each engine. is it all Y Harnesses?

With that 18 channel radio you just purchased, there will be no need for any Y harnesses. Each throttle servo can be assigned a different channel and then all mixed into the throttle channel so you have individual adjustments on each engine servo. Same for aileron, elevator, and flaps. I am not familiar with your radio but I would think you would have as a minimum dual channel functions on throttle, aileron, and elevator. Maybe you even have a 4 engine function. You will need to spend some time familiarizing your self with the available functions, and if you are lucky someone on this site will be familiar with the programming of the DX-18.

Massive projects you have undertaken. Good Luck!

Dave,
Welcome to the site you will have to join RCSB before you can post pictures. Also this is a dead thread so best to start your own build thread once you join. Look in the tutorials for clues on making the parts you seek. I believe the B-17 cowls are basically round so if you know the Dia of the cowls there are a lot of places to look (grocery store) to repurpose plastic lids or containers that will be quite affordable.

The photos must be less than 175k and less than 1200 pixels on the longest side.  Some members use a free resizing app called PhotoRazor.
