Welcome. Please feel at home... this is our home the scale builders homeland. Thank you for the link as I was always puzzled were the French r/c links were! I had found the British, Danish, Italian and the Dutch r/c forums but not the French. Unfortunately there are so many nice scale subjects....just little time!
Don't worry Henri I well understand what you feel.
As you said I am not a beginner with sticks but I am still
one to build them.
This is not so difficult to buy an helicopter and mount it but
it becomes more difficult to have good settings on it.
Now I am a little bit older and I have reach my maximum
ability in manoeuvring and I'm fed up to pass long time in
repairing them after crashes (many crashes during 3D
flights. It costs a lot also...)
So I want now to take more time in building models and
admirate them...It is a major change for me.
As you suggested it the best solution for me to buy a kit
and mount it to begin and increase the level of difficulty
step by step, model after model. And as you said I would
like to build a low wings one.I just to keep few fun during
flights.
What about model size and kit builder?Do you have any rc
model kit dealer in mind to begin with?
Thank you Reuben for what you have written but which link
you are speaking about??Sorry I don't understand.If you
are speaking about the french forum link, it is not me who
you have to thank
I would suggest a Cub, and L-19 Bird Dog or something along those lines. You can get exposed to all the serious parts of building (fiberglassing, rivets, metal work) etc, and those airplanes need rudder input which is essential on most warbirds.

Why not?? I will think about you have all said to me.
For sure I will start with a model that I can finish myself and
avoid asking for help every 5 mn.
Let me think about this and I will revert soon with an idea...
