Oh, go on then......

Paul,

The olf Bristol Frightener is still flown fairly regularly, and still features the original 6v S400 motors, albeit on 3S li-po power.

Hi Tim,

As with the others welcome aboard...  This a great place to share your hobby and will make plenty of good friends here.

My Ex-wife hates airplanes too..  One of the many reasons she is an ex...

David

HE, HE, sounds familiar , my ex told me if I got involved with these toys she would leave. So far I have 18 aircrafts, most of them have a wingspan over 10 ft. By the way, my new wife loves the hobby and kicks me out of the house every time the weather is great. ( what a life, it's great)

What better incentive does one need to take up a hobby? My 2nd wife is also just great and very supportive....as I am of her interests.

Isn't it great when your partner supports you?

Although my ex-wife was very sympathetic to the aeromodelling cause, my new partner of 4 years has taken up the hobby herself!  I taught her to fly over the course of a year or so, and now she's passed her BMFA 'A' certificate.

She's built a couple of models herself in the interim - a little Renard R17 from the Peter Rake plan, and a Dynaflite Bird of Time electric glider.

Currently she's practicing aerobatics for her 'B' test, besides building one of my own sports designs.  Tough life, innit?
