Several vendors have discussed with me the possibility of making some DVD's available on specific subjects. While we have the fantastic Dave Platt series what additional title subjects interest you?

I would like to see one for entering contests, I would eventually like to enter one, but I dont know what I would need as far as documents, ect.  I am a fan of the big bombers but sometimes its hard to find all the documents on that subject.

I agree entering contests would be a benefit.

About to build a Ziroli P47N

All of the choices would have great benifits, maybe a multi DVD box set from researching and planning right through to competing in a scale contest.

Another version of the Dave Platt series would be good - alternative methods, especially in the finishing and weathering aspects.

Installing and trouble shooting retracts would be good too.

I also voted for "Your First Contest", but "Construction Methods" is a close second for me.  Although I've been building kits for years, I didn't have a mentor, so a lot of techniques have eluded me in my craftsmanship.

Many ages ago (or so it seems)...I was contemplating developing a DVD or DVD Series to introduce "non-builders" (i.e., folks that have discovered the joys of RC flight via the ARF path but wouldn't know the difference between light balsa and plywood) to the fun (and challenges) of "creating" something "different" of their own.  I still have aspirations to do that...just no set time frame (life intercedes at the moment).

The comments by Rob Miller have me thinking "series"...beginning with the "basics" of building and progressing up through what it would take to create a contest "capable" aircraft (including documentation, research, etc.,).  I realize at this point I don't personally have the experience/knowledge to cover all the aspects of this...but the great part of being part of the RCSB clan is that I know where I can ask for and receive input on any scale topic the brain can think up.

This is probably a "fall" project at the soonest...but it's still stewing back there on the back burner.  I'll have to tap ScaleAero's experience/knowledge for sure...as he offered many fine suggestions when I first kicked around this idea in a thread over a year ago.

I would think a treatise to replace the out-of-print "Control Systems", once published by Air Age, would be a good reference to have.
