Just a local highstreet copy centre.................ideally, you need to have them scanned and enlarged digitally then reprinted as if you have them copied using one of the large 'roller' type photo copiers, this type of machine is well know to 'stretch' drawings, so distortions will develop.

Phil,

Your +10% model looks good. Watch out for tail heavy. I had to add almost 850 grams to balance it.

Mine is waiting for certification (because it is over 7kgs) and maiden flight in a couple of weeks time.

Flight report to follow.

Regards,

Sunny

Currently, the complete model with engine, tank, all servos, undercarriage etc......minus covering & paint is 24lb (10.9kg's)...................perfectly acceptable on a 92" wing.

Phil

Hi everyone,

The Miles Hawk had its maiden flight last Saturday and it flew extremely well. Very smooth and steady. According to the expert test pilot, it felt very light and stable. All it needed was a little up elevator trim. The engine power was adequate but not excessive.

For all those currently building this model, be assured that it will fly beautifully, if built well.

Regards,

Sunny

It's been a long time coming, but Dad has finally finished his Speed 6 (10% enlarged Phil Kent plan).

Covering was SIG Koverall followed by 6 x 50/50 thinned coats of non-shrinking dope. I lent my hand to the project with the painting......this used Warbirdcolors for the colour (RAF Black over grey cellulose primer, & WW1 Linen over white cellulose primer) with a Klass kote 'satin' clear coat over the top.

He's re-engined with a DA50 as the AUW was creeping up and he thought it may struggle a bit on the original ZG38. 1st engine runs have been carried out without drama......test flights are due when the English weather finally decided to sort itself out.
