LoL. An 80” V173 is a big model. I looked at enlarging mine to that size and its about the size of an original minicooper and 3 1/2 feet tall.
It was unrealistic Imo to pursue one that size.

We will offer the original "diameter" and another of a yet to be determined enlargement split to a three piece to permit portability.
I show an "example" of possible split along blue and red lines.
Landing gear strut would probably be a sleeved slip tolerance two piece. Prop thrust extentions/fuse "leading edge front" would probably
be a three piece vacuum formed shroud.

To all who think that 80" span is "Unrealistic", please bear in mind that this measured across the tips of the tailerons. If one were to measure across the "Pancake" - it will probably be 60" or less. Ed: can you look into this please?
Also, I would split the fuselage along the blue lines.
Since this will be a "Scratch Builders Delight" I would leave the engine extensions and LE to the builder. Perhaps just vaccuform the canopy and bottom windows.

This is "probably" going to be available in its original drawing planform. Neither Sam nor I have reviewed
the plan for dropouts and tolerable enlargement possibility. This is an excellent example of why our plan
list follows the line of practicality and realistic possibility at a reasonable development and final price.
There are multiple RCSB scratch builders who have designed a Do-335 with success in different sizes.

The Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM) was Germany's Nazi aviation department from 1933–1945. RLM issued RFP specs to Gernan aircraft manufacturers to enter into competition to develop designs for specific missions. The Siebel Si-201 V2 lost out in RLM competition against the Fieseler F-156 Storch for a short takeoff & landing utility-reconnaissance aircraft.
