I'm 52. Have been a employee for the State of Illinois for over 20yrs work in a prison. Like to fish and camp. Was in R/C planes over 15 yrs ago...decided to get back into it now since my sons (twins) are 21 and no longer involved in sports... I have built several planes...1. Sig Kadet ll 2. Beercat Bipe 3 & 4 Cubs one fun flyer one scale 5. Super Chipmunk 6. Scale Taube last I think was a very large spacewalker...I love to build but not very good or comfortable flying...I have a Senior Kadet that my father-in-law started years ago that I am going to finish this winter. A friend of mine is giving me a Top Flight gold edition Corsair, and I am in the process of looking and buying a Stuka from Nick Ziroli plans. I am currently looking for a good short kit for the Stuka. I have to start over buying all the tools and irons and everything to get started again so if anyone has any extra parts and pieces let me know.
I live in east south central Illinois so anyone close feel free to contact me.

Welcome to the site Dale. If your looking for a Ziroli Stuka Short Kit you may check with Pat at www.lasercutusa.com. His phone number is available on the site and thats the best way to contavt him. He is a one-man show so it could take a couple try's. Believe it or not but you would most likely save money in the long run by staring out with a full kit. If you want to look into that a good place to start is by giving Larry Katona a call at Precision Cut Kits. His website is www.precisioncutkits.com.

Again, welcome to the site. Get your materials together and become a site supporter so you can post your build as a thread-then you will have all the help you need to be successfull with your build.

Hi Dale, I just ran across your intro. I have a son in Decatur who is just about your age. He'd like to be involved in models but doesn't have a mentor - like I would be if we were closer together. I live in Palmdale, CA. Our family lived in Olney in the mid-60-s and loved it. I was in the oil business and so got transferred to Bakersfield. I don't care for California all that much, but don't seem to be able to get away.
