Hi all,
Being new to this website, I just wanted to introduce myself: my name is Jordan and I'm still fairly new to the RC world in general. I recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. I was introduced to RC planes in college with an SAE Collegiate Design Series team that competed in a design-build-fly competition. In my later years in college I taught myself to fly first on a simulator and then in "real life" to pilot for our team. Since graduating, I have joined a local club and become more involved in the hobby. I am now the proud owner of a few large scale models and (like many of you I assume) am still growing my collection. Last winter I built a Ziroli P-40 Warhawk, and this year I have a few more projects in line. I hope to get advice from the experts on this website and be able to share my experiences with everyone.
Happy New Year!
PS: Yes I am one of very few female pilots and/or giant scale builders in this hobby

Hi Jordan,
Glad you have joined and introduced yourself the community. Lots of great talent here to learn from but also others can learn from you, so once you get a new project picked out be sure and do a build thread!
Happy New Year to you! Mike

Welcome Jordan!
Its great to see both young people and women come into the hobby. Now if you can explain to me how it came to pass? You are a statistical anomaly.......please tell me how to encourage my wife to be more interested!
On a serious note, welcome to the site! You will find a lot of very good information here and we all look forward to to learning from you as well. And thank you for already becoming a site supporter!
