ARUP, that is an excellent looking model!  Very interested in how she flys...

Did you ever recover your model from the Winamac Aerotow?

Hey Lance! Thanks for posting the pictures! There are two picture post cards of the Maykemper Maikäfer from which 1/4 scale plans were generated. The full scale was 8 meter span, 6.2 meter length and 1 meter height. All the control surfaces move for roll and the front and rear wing control surfaces are for pitch, moving in opposite directions. Rudder is pull-pull cable. Tentative C of G is just ahead of the LE of central wing. I’ll have to wait until the next Eli Tow 2027 in Monticello, IL to test fly.

Poor piloting by me caused my RRG Professor to land short, way short, in the corn. I was so upset with myself. I was in the corn for hours and came back empty handed. Tim Redelman and Joe? came back the next day and found it with a drone. I’ll meet Tim at the Rosewood Jet Meet this weekend to pick it up. I owe them. The Professor is a nice flying sailplane (with the correct pilot)!

Wow! That's an amazing model ARUP. I am a sucker for oddball stuff like that. I look forward to your flight report.

Cheers,
Mike

Yeah the model will be a real test and experience to fly, and see. I wonder how much flight time the original had?
