Totally cool  it could be I got them reversed I stand corrected. About 50 years ago one of the Instructors I had in flight training had a two seat Jungman, Spanish built. It didn't have a radial I think it was an inverted inline engine memory fades. 

Some place I have pictures of clandestine photo op. I was the photog in a Bonanza photo plane, the Jungman was in formation and a 

TA-4 would fly by at approach speed since it couldn't fly that slow, it would slowly fly by with gear and flaps and tailhook down. I think it made two passes and I tried to time location taking lost of shots. 

A short explanation of FAI F4 competition categories:
F4B = Control Line Scale - all static judging carried out at a distance of 5 meters (just over 16').  Rules similar to AMA Sport Scale.
F4C = RC Scale - I would call this "museum quality" scale.  Static judging is both at 5 meters and close up
F4H = RC Standoff Scale - all static judging carried out at a distance of 5 meters. Rules similar to AMA Sport Scale.

So Ben's Fairchild 24 is a F4C model - extremely detailed and precise (and beyond my building capacity).
On the flip side, my wife flew an Horizon Hobbies Twin Otter ARF (repainted and converted to CL) in F4B and placed 12th.  

Ben's Fairchild is absolutely gorgeous, but don't let that scare you away from trying out with a more modest model in F4H or F4B.
