Yes, you're correct.  I remembered that after I posted ha ha!!  Would really like to see the model that beat him!

You're right Jason, the scores are normalized.  And you're right Rob, nobody gets a perfect static.  The raw static score is out of 3000 points, whoever gets highest static gets 1000 points awarded and everyone else's points are based on their percentage of the top score.  It's a bit confusing at first but sets up some interesting dynamics during the competition.  I have no idea why they normalize the scores, maybe someone who's been at this longer knows.  Flight scores are also normalized.  So those 1000 point flights aren't perfect, they're just the top flight scores of the round.

They were using Escribe for scoring, which I had never heard of.  I'll have more details about it later but it allows everyone to see live scores and see everyone's scoresheet.  This is new for me and was very interesting.  So here's Marc's score sheet in static.

I was just a few points behind him.  I'll post mine in the F24 thread next week or so, I'm trying to keep this one more about the event and the overall results.

I have a bunch of detail shots of Marc's Fouga, along with several of the other high staticing planes.  I won't have time to process and post them for a bit though.  I'm off to Shuttlesworth tomorrow and then some time in London, Canterbury, Dover, and that area before heading home.

In only your second W/C appearance with a new model to come seventh in F4C is an outstanding result.

To achieve the second highest static score (ahead of the previous Champion) is very impressive.

The fact that the two top finishers have been campaigning the same models for a number of years says a lot.

If you are motivated to carry on, and I hope you do, a podium finish is definitely on the cards.

Obviously the weather is the one factor beyond anyone's control but given more favourable conditions who knows?

Anyway thanks for the updates and hopefully you can now relax and enjoy the rest of your time in the UK with your family.
